Marshall Cavendish Education (MCE) sponsored the 4th International Conference on Teaching and Learning with Technology (iCTLT) 2014, a premier biennial conference that features innovative educational technology for the 21st century held at Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre from 7 to 10 April.
The sponsorship enabled MCE to affirm the superiority of our world-class holistic learning solutions, help build awareness of our integrated offerings, and reinforce our position as a leader in the field of education both locally and internationally. These were achieved through the premium booth exhibition of our holistic learning solutions, and two presentation sessions during the conference.
MCE’s Training Manager, Adi Hermawan conducted a presentation on Math at the EdTech Sparkplug in front of over 30 educators. The EdTech Sparkplug is the iCTLT’s newest platform where educators can learn how the latest educational technology can enhance their teaching and learning. Mr Hermawan demonstrated effective strategies in using the digital Math curriculum with an iPad to make the subject more fun and engaging for pupils.
During the Concurrent Session, we collaborated with Mrs Elias Lim, Mother Tongue teacher from White Sands Primary School to share with other educators her methodology for garnering interest among learners in language learning using the Reading Log module. This is an online reading log created in collaboration with MCE to help learners hone their reading and writing skills independently
In addition, we were able to impress Minister Heng Swee Keat and educational policymakers from the Asean region when they visited our exhibition. This helped lend credibility to our solutions and strengthened further our reputation as a leading publisher of print and digital products.
