Responsibilities:
- Support IT operations issues and requests related to AS400 application.
- Apply a strong knowledge of application development techniques and tools to design, develop, test and implement a wide range of application solutions in AS400. Provide application development services to program new and/or modify existing customized objects.
- Provide customer service which include response to incidents after investigation, proactively notifying customers of issues, and assessing and communicating business impact. Resolve IT Incidents through resolution and as a point of contact.
- The position will play a key role in managing and supporting the core ERP and financial system.
Domain knowledge and experience in the following area would be beneficial:
- Finance: Understanding of financial processes, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, budgeting, and financial reporting. Familiarity with financial compliance standards and best practices is preferred.
- Distribution: Knowledge of industry-specific workflows, such as order management, inventory control, distribution channels, and revenue recognition within the publishing sector, is beneficial.
- Warehousing: Knowledge on warehousing operations, inventory management, order processing, and fulfilment processes, especially as they relate to ERP systems.
- Logistics: Understanding of supply chain and logistics processes, including inventory control, shipping, and receiving, and vendor management, as well as integration with ERP functionalities.
Candidates with hands-on experience in one or more of these domains will have a strong advantage, as this knowledge will contribute to more effective support, troubleshooting, and enhancement of our ERP and financial systems.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in translating functional/non-functional requirements to system requirements.
- Knowledge of BookMaster application is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in IBMi (AS/400) technologies – RPG, DB2/400, CL, SQL.
- Experience and understanding of Production support and Performance engineering.
- Strong Technical and Problem-Solving Skills.
